چکیده
PHENIX is the largest of the four experiments currently taking data at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), and the iFVTX is a new pixel tracker which will be installed in the forward tracker region of PHENIX. Fermilab has developed a complete test stand system for the examination of FPix2.1 modules, hybrids, and pixel chips that will be installed in the iFVTX. The system is currently in use for chip, module, and wafer testing at Fermilab. The test stand architecture is flexible and can be adapted to new requirements. In this paper, the software and hardware integration will be discussed followed by an analysis of the advantages of choosing a modular approach for the system. Finally, a selection of tests supported by the system, along with sample results, will be presented and explained. Index Terms — Data Acquisition, FPix2.1, iFVTX, PHENIX, Test Stand.

Characterization of low, medium and high energy collimators for common isotopes in nuclear medicine: A Monte Carlo study
Introduction:In an ideal parallel-hole collimator, thickness of septal material should be sufficient to stop more than 95% of incident photons. However, some photons pass the septa without interaction or experience scattering before they reach the detector. In this study, we determined different contribution of collimator responses consist of geometrical response, septal penetr...

Introduction: Acquiring a high quality image has assigned an important concern for obtaining accurate diagnosis in nuclear medicine. Detector and collimator are critical component of Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging system for giving accurate information from exact pattern of radionuclide distribution in the target organ. The images are strongly affect...

High Purity Germanium detectors (HPGe) are subdivisions of semiconductor detectors which are widely used in nuclear technology from space industry to nuclear medicine, due to their high resolution, low dead time, unlimited size and compatibility with a variety of environments. The( absolute and intrinsic) efficiency of the HPGe detector, which depends on the geometry of the source-detector syst...

Objective(s): The energy resolution of a cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT) solid-state semiconductor detector is about 5%, and is superior to the resolution of the conventional Anger type detector which is 10%. Also, the window width of the high-energy part and of the low-energy part of a photo peak window can be changed separately. In this study, we used a semiconductor detector and examined the ef...
متن کاملEvaluation of the performance of parallel-hole collimator for high resolution small animal SPECT: A Monte Carlo study
Introduction: Image quality and accuracy of in vivo activity quantification in SPECT are affected by collimator penetration and scatter components, especially in high energy imaging. These phenomena highly depend on the collimator characteristic and photon energy. The presence of penetrated and scattered photons from collimator in SPECT images degrades spatial resolution, contr...
